Redlingfield’s second Fun Village Dog Show was a great success in the September sun with more than 150 entries.
Held on Redlingfield Doorstep Green on Sunday 5th September it attracted entries from far and wide as well Paws of Parham who ran agility demonstrations and let owners have a go themselves.
Rosettes were given to top six in each class as well as special prizes from Skinner’s dog food. The rosettes were sponsored by Redlingfield’s Helen Cook and her Happy Hounds Home Boarding.
There were dog grooming demonstrations, photographer Kim Cordy in the ring, refreshments from the PCC (Parochial Church Council) and the Doorstep Green’s pop-up pub. The event run by Alison Smith and family and the PCC was in aid of St Andrews church in Redlingfield.
Judges James Widger and Rhiannon Hedge had the difficult job of picking the winners.
The winners were: Best rescue: Tom, Laurie Stock. Best puppy (under 1 year): May, Amelie Putt. Best young handler (under 12 years): Bailey, Daisy Morris. Best veteran (over 10 years): Izzy, Emilee Amps. Scruffiest: Luna, Jake Battle. Waggiest tail: Bailey, Paul Morris. Best female: Tia, Kelly Hawes. Best male: Bailey, Daisy Morris. Dog with the best trick: Skipper, Jo. Dog the judge would like to take home: Mabel, Fi. Best in show: Tom, Laurie Stock. Reserve: Tia, Kelly Hawes.
