B-17 crash (rallying round)

The Gooderhams, whose home was destroyed in the crash, received compensation under the War Damage Act of 1943 after the accident. Organisations including the Women's Voluntary Service and Nearby Mendlesham's Air Raid Relief Fund also helped. The East Suffolk County Federation of Women's Institutes also helped out the Gooderhams. Along with these documents we also have a letter from Mrs Tydeman, who suffered minor injuries and moved to Thorndon when Green Farm was destroyed, to Ruby Gooderham on the B-17 crash gallery page.
